Day 1
Arrival in Kathmandu 1300 meters. Meet and transfer to Hotel.
Today you shall arrive at the Tribhuvan International Airport and meet our representative who will transfer you to your hotel. As the day does not involve any scheduled events, you are free to spend the day as you wish. Overnight in Kathmandu.
Day 2
Fly Kathmandu/Pokhara 30 Minutes Or drive 6-7 hrs
The objective for the day is to head towards Pokhara. We have the option of either going there by air or by land. The flight lasts for 30 minutes whereas the drive takes about 6 hours. Pokhara is a beautiful valley located in western Nepal. This valley is famous for providing amazing views of the Annapurna Mountains and Machhapuchhre (6997m). There are many other tourist attractions like the Mahendra Cave, Bat Cave, Davis Falls, and World Peace Pagoda. Overnight in Pokhara.
Day 3
Fly Pokhara/Jomsom (2720m), trek to Kagbeni (2810 m) Approx. 3 hrs.
Our morning starts with a quick flight that leads us to Jomsom. The flight shows amazing mountains of Annapurna massif and reaches the skirts of the Nilgiri Himalayas towards the end. Jomsom is a small settlement which is mostly famous for its apples and winds. We head towards Kagbeni along the banks of the Kali Gandaki River. Overnight in Kagbeni.
Day 4
Trek to Chele (3050m) 6 hrs
The trek takes on the banks of the Kali Gandaki River as we head to Chele. We pass along the majestic dry barren landscapes to head. After taking a quick break at Tangbe, we arrive at Chhusang. Thereon, the trek to Chele is a gradual climb along the river bank. Chele Village comprises of white houses and you can see the influence of Buddhism in the lives of people. Overnight in Chele.
Day 5
Trek to Shyangbochen (3800m) 7-8 hrs
The trail for the day is comparatively harder as it gains round 800 meters in altitude. The trail leads us to Shyangbochen and to reach there, we must cross the amazing Taklam La Pass (3624m) and Dajori La Pass (3735m). As we descend, we reach Shyangbochen. It is a minor settlement that sits amidst the barren terrain of Mustang. Overnight in Shyangbochen.
Day 6
Trek to Tsarang (3560m) 7 hrs
The route to Tsarang is a long one and involves crossing the Yamda la pass. Cross the beautiful poplar forests to arrive at Ghami. After having lunch here, we shall continue the journey. After we cross the Tsarang La Pass (3870m), we arrive at Tsarang. This village sits atop the Tsarang Chu canyon and has a colossal fortress along with ancient monasteries. Overnight in Tsarang.
Day 7
Trek to Lo Manthang (3800m) 4-5 hrs
Today we shall reach the forbidden Kingdom of Lo Manthang. This was once a restricted area and only recently has it been open to the public. The people here follow ancient Tibetan way of life. The trail takes us through the canyon and across the Lo La Pass (3950m). The village provides picturesque views of the Annapurna Mountains and the Bhrikuti Peak (6093m). Moreover, it used to be a part of the ancient Silk Route and holds many monuments belonging to those times. Overnight in Lo Manthang.
Day 8
Explore Niphu and Garphu villages in the north of Lo Manthang.
On this day, we will explore the villages around Lo Manthang. We will head north and explore Niphu and Garphu. These villages thrive in Tibetan Buddhism and you can explore the sky caves too. The brilliant depiction and preservation of the ancient heritage are testament to the faith of the local people. We can also explore the 3 major Gompas of the region; namely, Jampa, Thubchen, and Chode. Overnight in Lo Manthang.
Day 9
Trek to Dhakmar (3820m) via Ghar Gumba (Lo Gekar Monastery) 6 hrs
Our trail leads us to Dhakmar and it goes through the Ghar Gumba. Leaving Lo Manthang, we traverse along the barren lands to settle at Ghar Gumba. The monastery is the oldest in the region and houses scriptures dating back to the times of the Padmasanbhava. After watching the intricately designed paintings and monuments, we head to Dhakmar. Dhakmar is famous for its picturesque display of the red cliffs that harbor sky caves. Overnight in Dhakmar.
Day 10
Trek to Ghiling (3570m) 6 hrs
We shall head to Ghiling for today. The walk takes along the dry and arid tracks. We need to battle strong winds and barren plateaus. Ghiling is a desolate land with sparse settlement. The culture here is Nepali with brief infusion of Tibetan. This village serves as a great vantage point to observe the Dhaulagiri and Nilgiri mountains. Overnight in Ghiling.
Day 11
Trek to Samar (3550m) 6 hrs
The objective for today is to reach the Samar village. On the way, we can see the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountains along with the famous Chungsi monastery cave. After visiting the Chungsi Cave, we trek in the company of serene rivers and go past Buddhist monasteries to reach Samar. Samar village falls on the road to Chhukung and is a resting point with many teahouses. Overnight in Samar.
Day 12
Trek to Kagbeni (2810m) 6-7 hrs
The trip is nearing its end and we shall once again head to Kagbeni. The trail takes us through the arid desert landscape of Mustang with slight glimpses of vegetation. Kagbeni is an ancient looking village with mud houses and a large old Gompa. You can relish the sights of the barren landscapes of the Upper Mustang for the last time as you reach the exit point of the region at Kagbeni. Overnight in Kagbeni.
Day 13
Trek to Jomsom (2750m) 3 hrs
We shall once again head back to Jomsom. The trail is relatively short and you can feel that the altitude starts to decrease. Upon arrival in Jomsom, spend some time exploring the village and later head to a teahouse or a lodge. You can celebrate the success of the trek with celebratory drinks sand local cuisine. Overnight in Jomsom.
Day 14
Fly Jomsom/Pokhara/Kathmandu
Today, we have to take two flights to reach Kathmandu. The initial flight involves reaching Pokhara and having lunch there. Thereafter, we get on another flight to Kathmandu. Upon arrival in Kathmandu transfer to your hotel. The lively streets of the city offer endearing company to spend the rest of the day. Overnight in Kathmandu.
Day 15
Free day Kathmandu
Today is a free day in Kathmandu and you can use it to either explore the valley or rest at the hotel. You can explore the major UNESCO world heritage site of the Kathmandu valley which include Swayambhunath, Kathmandu Durbar Square, Pashupatinath, and Boudhanath. We also recommend you to savor traditional Nepali dishes and shop for souvenirs as you near the end of the trip. Overnight in Kathmandu.
Day 16
Transfer to Airport for final departure.
Today is your final day in Nepal and our representative will drop you off at the Tribhuvan International Airport for your final departure. We wish you all the luck on your future endeavors.
