The Kathmandu – Muktinath Bike Tour is a popular adventure tour in Nepal that takes riders on a scenic journey through the Himalayas, starting in Kathmandu and ending at the sacred Muktinath Temple. This incredible motorcycle ride begins in Kathmandu. After you acquaint yourself with your motor companion, you will drive to Pokhara. A scenic drive along the Prithvi Highway provides surreal glimpses of the Trishuli River, faraway snowy mountains, and green hills.
Drive through settlements like Dhading, Kurintar Muglin, Dumre, and Damauli to finally arrive at Pokhara. From where the rocky roads begin from here and as you arrive at Beni from Pokhara.
The roads start to challenge your driving skills. Spend a night in Kalopani, and then find yourself on the road to Muktinath. Located at the lap of the Thorang La Pass (5416m). Muktinath is one of the most sacred places in Nepal for both Hindus and Buddhists.
The temple also has numerous attractions including 108 stone water taps and a golden statue of Lord Vishnu. After a wonderful day in Muktinath, you will ride to the beautiful Marpha Village, mainly known for its apples and apple-derived alcohol.
You will then ride to Tatopani, where you can enjoy a nice soothing bath in a natural hot spring. Similarly, the trail passes through beautiful old monasteries decorated with prayer flags and prayer wheels, numerous caves, and the world’s deepest gorge at the Kali Gandaki River.
Besides these beautiful vistas, this tour also provides you an opportunity to explore the unique lifestyle of the Thakali, Magar, and Gurung. You will head back to Pokhara and ultimately ride back to Kathmandu where the trip shall end.

Day 1 Ride Kathmandu to Pokhara Lakeside |200 KM
The first day of the tour begins with a ride to Pokhara. In the morning, you shall collect all your belongings and meet our guide who shall travel with you. The ride goes through the Prithvi Highway and covers 200 km.
The ride shows a bountiful display of twists and turns along the Trishuli River. After resting for a while in Muglin for a lunch, we continue the journey. After driving for 5- 6 hours, we arrive at Pokhara. In Pokhara you can explore the Phewa Lake and the lively Lakeside area. Overnight in Pokhara.

Day 2 Ride to Kalopani [2600m] |110 KM
After breakfast, you will begin your ride to Kalopani. Be sure to have your bike thoroughly checked before starting the ride. The target for the day is to cover a distance of 110km. We shall take the Pokhara- Baglung highway. The road till Beni is properly paved.
From Beni, the rough dusty road begins. You will ride along the back of the Kali Gandaki River, stunning waterfalls and through steep roads. Along the way you will pass through villages like Tatopani and Ghasa to arrive at Kalopani. Overnight in Kalopani.

Day 3 Ride to Muktinath [3760m] |70 KM
After an early morning breakfast, you will continue you scenic ride along the Kali Gandaki River. As you ride, you’ll observe that the landscape slowly transcends into barren lands. Riding though steep slopes and beautiful Thakali and Magar villages leads you to a small beautiful town Jomsom.
From here, we can see the Annapurna Mountains and Dhaulagiri. Thereon, a short ride will take you to Muktinath. The temple sits on the base of the Thorung La Pass (5416m) and also offers great views of the nearby surrounding. Overnight in Muktinath.

Day 4 Visit the Muktinath Temple. Ride to Marpha [2200m] |22 KM
Today, you will visit the Muktinath temple which holds great stature in both Hindu and Buddhist religions. You can also bath in the waters dripping from the 108 taps in the temple premise. Doing so is said to cleanse you from your sins.
We shall observe the morning rituals here and then have breakfast. After that, you will ride to Marpha via Kagbeni. Kagbeni is famous for its old houses and ancient monasteries. From here, the road to Marpha goes through rocky cliffs and barren mountainous deserts. Overnight in Marpha.

Day 5 Explore Marpha. Ride to Tatopani.
After breakfast, you will explore Marpha. It is a beautiful small village consisting of quaint houses, narrow alleyways and beautiful apple orchards. Marpha is renowned throughout Nepal for being the village of apples.
You will then continue your ride to Tatopani along the banks of the Kali Gandaki River along the rough, dusty, and steep roads. In Tatopani, you will be able to enjoy a refreshing bath at the natural hot water spring. This water is said to have medicinal and healing powers. Overnight in Tatopani.

Day 6 Ride to Pokhara |91 KM
The trip is nearing its end. Today, we head back to Pokhara. The road we take is a blend of curves, dust and paved roads. Upon arrival in Pokhara, you can visit the major tourist attractions and indulge in recreational activities. Or, you can just rest in a hotel after a long tiring ride and enjoy the beautiful vistas of Annapurna range and Machhapuchhre (6997m). Overnight in Pokhara.

Day 7 Ride back to Kathmandu.|200 KM
Today is the last day of the ride and you will head back to Kathmandu today. The drive lasts for about 6 hours and it goes through the Prithvi Highway.
We shall take some time to rest in Muglin or Kurintar and have lunch there. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, head back to your hotel. In the spare time, you can explore Thamel and shop for some souvenirs. Overnight in Kathmandu.
