The Langtang Valley Trek is a popular trek in the Langtang region of Nepal. The trek takes you through the Langtang National Park, which is home to a variety of flora and fauna, including rare species of animals such as the red panda. The trek offers breathtaking views of tall mountains, as well as other peaks in the region.
During the trek, you will be passing through the small villages and interacting with the local Tamang people, who are known for their unique culture and traditions. You will also have the opportunity to visit the Langtang Lirung Glacier, one of the most beautiful glaciers in the region.
The trek also brings you the best that the Himalayas have to offer. From spectacular mountain views, traditional Tamang villages, and impressive bamboo forests. During the trek, you will be completely surrounded by the mountains and will have the opportunity to see an amazing sunrise behind the mountains of Tserko Ri.
The first-rate season for the Langtang Valley trek needs to be spring (March, April, and May) and autumn (September, October, and November). Autumn presents a first-rate view of the majestic mountains and glaciers. Similarly, spring additionally presents us with the snow-capped mountains at the side of the inexperienced forests blooming with pink rhododendron.

The second day is scheduled for sightseeing around the Kathmandu Valley in which we will explore major sites like Pashupatinath, Swoyambhunath, and Boudhanath. On the third day, you will take a scenic drive to Syabrubensi via Dhunche. Along the way, you will get a glorious view of Ganesh Himal (7422m) and Langtang (7227m). From Syabrubensi, the real trekking begins. The trail now passes through Rimche alongside the bank of the Bhotekoshi River.
Upon reaching the Lama Hotel, you will take a quick photograph of the surroundings and the distant view of the Himalayas. Walking past the pine forests and terraced farmlands, you will ascend toward Langtang Valley via Ghodatabela. The route also gives an opportunity to get familiar with the ancient culture and traditions of the Tamang community. Similarly, crossing several farm villages and long terrains, you will reach the famous monastery of Kyanjin Gompa. Here, you can taste yak cheese and curd.
After a climb to the summit of Tserko Ri at 4984m, you will slowly descend back to Syabrubensi following the same trail. From the top of Tserko Ri, you will get the sublime view of Langtang Lirung (7227m), Kinshung (6781m), Dorje Lakpa (6966m), Naya Kanga (5844m), and Yala Peak (5500m). The trail takes us back to Kathmandu where the trip shall end.

Day 2: Kathmandu Valley full day Sightseeing.
Today is a rest and preparation day, so you will be going for sightseeing around the Kathmandu Valley. A personal guide will take you to the revered UNESCO World Heritage Sites such as Pashupatinath, Swoyambhunath, Boudhanath, and Kathmandu Durbar Square. You will also acquaint yourself with the ancient culture and tradition of the Kathmandu Valley during the time of Ranas. You can even opt for a short hike to places like Godavari and Chobhar. Day 3: Drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubensi (1503m.) 6-7 hrs.
Early in the morning, you will start your drive towards Syabrubensi. A long scenic drive of six to seven hours takes you through green hills, farm villages and forested area. Along the way, you will get a stunning view of Annapurna II (7937m), Manaslu (8163m), Ganesh Himal (7422m), and other snow-capped mountains. Driving past small rives, you will reach Dhunche where you will stop for a quick lunch. Syabrubensi is often called the gateway of Langtang and you can find small settlements and many tourists here. Overnight in Syabrubensi.

Day 4: Trek from Syabrubensi to Lama Hotel (2410m.) 6-7 hrs.
The trek to Lama Hotel takes us along the banks of the Bhotekoshi River. The trail takes you through the forest of oak, maple, fir and blue pine. Moving further, you will ascend gradually towards Rimche via Pahare hotel following the Langtang Khola. You will finally reach your destination after walking through the lush greenery and numerous uphill. From here, you will get a glorious view of famous snow-capped mountains including Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges. Overnight in Lama Hotel.

Day 5: Trek from Lama Hotel to Langtang valley (3430m.) 6 hrs.
On the 5th day, you will be trekking towards the Langtang valley or more precisely, the Langtang village. Ascending uphill through the lush pastures of this region, you will get a close-up view of Langtang Lirung (7227m). Upon reaching Ghodatabela, you will trek through lush pasturelands. Crossing forested area and sloppy landscapes, you will finally reach Langtang valley. Overnight in Langtang valley.

Day 6: Trek from Langtang valley to Kyanjin Gompa (3870m.) 4 hrs.
Soon after breakfast, you will continue your walk crossing meadows and several farm villages. The distant view of the Kyanjin Gompa monastery indicated that you have entered the ancient village. From here, you will get an enchanting view of Langtang Lirung (7227m), Kinshung (6781m), Dorje Lakpa (6966m), Naya Kanga (5844m), and Yala Peak (5500m). At the monastery, you can even taste yak cheese and curd. Overnight in Kyanjin Gompa.

Day 7: Rest day at Kyanjin gompa and explore day for day hike.
Today is a rest day. Early in the morning, you will start your climb to Tserko Ri at 4984m. You will climb through the flat terrains and huge rocks. Upon reaching the top of Tserko Ri (4984m), the crown jewel of Langtang valley, you will get a panoramic view of famous snow-capped mountains and surroundings. On the way down, you can also visit Langshisha Kharka and get familiar with the unique culture and tradition of this region. Overnight in Kyanjin gompa.

Day 8: Trek back from Kyanjin Gompa to Lama Hotel (2410m.) 7 hrs.
Following back the same trail, you will be trekking towards Lama Hotel. Alongside the bank of Langtang Khola, you will cross the settlement of Mundu and Ghodatabela and proceeds towards Gumnachowk. Along the way, you will walk past forested area, yak pastures, meadows and sloppy landscapes. As you enjoy a stunning view of the Himalayas, you will finally reach your destination. Overnight in Lama Hotel.

Day 9: Trek back from Lama Hotel to Syabrubensi (1503m.)
Today you will be descending back to Syabrubensi. As you walk past the forests of pine and rhododendron, you will see wildlife of Langtang National Park such as red panda, black beer, wild goat, leopard etc. Along the way, you will get a glorious view of Manaslu (8156m) and Ganesh Himal (7422m). Getting familiar with the ancient culture and tradition of Tamang community, you will finally reach your destination via Rimche. Overnight in Syabrubensi.

Day 10: Drive back to Kathmandu.
As you bid farewell to the Himalayas, you will start your drive back to Kathmandu. You will drive further along with the Trishuli River. The drive will take you through green hills, terraced farmlands and valleys. In the evening, you can roam around Thamel area, buy souvenir, and enjoy its nightlife. Overnight in Kathmandu.
