Kathmandu Valley Sightseeing Tour Overview
The Kathmandu Valley Tour begins upon your arrival in Kathmandu. The entire tour is well facilitated by an experienced and language-versed tour guide and a private vehicle. You’ll visit a few of the major UNESCO World Heritage Sites located in the different parts of Kathmandu valley. The tour begins with a visit to the Kathmandu Durbar Square, which consists of multiple palace courtyards, 10th Century palaces, numerous Hindu temples, and street shops.
Afterward, you’ll advance to Swayambhunath, a revered Buddhist stupa located atop a hill. The Hindu temple of Pashupatinath and a Buddhist stupa of Boudhanath are the other two major UNESCO heritage sites you’ll visit before conceding the day. Day two will take you to the neighboring cities of Bhaktapur and Patan. Patan is the largest among the three cities in the Kathmandu valley. The Patan Durbar Square is home to numerous stupas, temples, an age-old royal palace, and traditional brick-roofed houses. After exploring Patan, you’ll embark on a tour to Bhaktapur.
Here, you’ll get to witness the age-old Fifty-five Windowed Palace, the Five Storied Temple (Nyatapola), Dattatreya Temple, Taleju Temple, and the famous Pottery Square within the Bhaktapur Durbar Square. The last leg of the tour takes you 42.6 km southeast to Namobuddha Stupa via Dhulikhel. Namobuddha is one of the major Buddhist cultural sites located inside Kathmandu valley.
