Kathmandu Manang Motorcycle Tour Overview

Soon after arriving at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA), we will pick you and drive you to your hotel. The motorcycle adventure will start the second day. You will ride towards Besisahar via Mugling and Dumre. The ride will take you through several farm villages and valleys. From Besisahar, you proceed towards the Manang Valley passing through Jagat, Dharapani, and Chame.

Manang is the next destination which not just renowned for its unique culture but boasts views of the Annapurna ranges as well. Leaving the beautiful Manang valley, you will now move towards Tilicho Lake Base Camp before trekking to Tilicho Lake. Tilicho Lake is the highest lake in the world at an altitude of 4,920m. When the lake is not frozen, the water deep blue with the reflection of snow-capped mountains over the surface.

From here, you get a great view of Tilicho Peak (7,134m), Nilgiri (7,061m), Khangsar Kang (7,485m), and Gangapurna (7,454m). After exploring around Tilicho Lake, you will return to Besisahar via Khangsar and Timang. This trip gives you a chance to experience the lush vegetation and natural flora and fauna of the Manang region. The ancient Tibetan villages of Pisang and Manang are bound to give you once in a lifetime experience. Spring and autumn are the best seasons for this tour.

Day 1
Arrival in Kathmandu (1300m)
After arriving at Tribhuvan International Airport, our company representative will welcome you and take you to your hotel. Feel free to explore the city and shop for anything you might need for the trip. Overnight stay in Kathmandu.
Day 2
Kathmandu to Besisahar (760m) (106 Km)
Early in the morning, you will start your ride towards Besisahar on your bike. You will ride past green hills and valleys alongside Trishuli River. After crossing a suspension bridge in Mugling, you will move towards Dumre. Crossing some farm villages, terraced farmlands and zigzagged paths, you will finally reach your destination of Besisahar. Many treks start from this point so, it is a busy town.
Day 3
Besisahar to Chame (2670m) (66 Km)
On the 3rd day, you will be riding through a difficult path. The road is mostly rocky and twisted. The trail passes through Jagat and proceeds towards Dharapani. Along the way, you will see deep gorges and beautiful waterfalls. You will ride past several settlements and deep valley. Enjoying a breathtaking view of Lamjung Himal (6,983m), Annapurna II (7,937m), and other snow-capped mountains, you will reach the small village of Chame. Overnight in Chame.
Day 4
Chame to Manang Valley (3540m) (31 Km)
After breakfast, you will start your ride towards Manang Valley. In the early first hour, you will ride through an easy trail but it gets more difficult as you climb up to the Tibetan village of Pisang. From Pisang, you get a stunning view of the Annapurna range. The stone paved paths and prayer flags of Pisang village will certainly amaze you. As you continue, you will cross small monasteries and teahouses before reaching Manang Valley. Braga Monastery is an important stop before you arrive at Manang. Overnight in Manang.
Day 5
Manang Valley to Tilicho Lake Base Camp (4150m) (20 Km)
Today’s ride is quite adventurous. Enjoying pleasant views of Himalayas, you will reach Khangsar village, also dubbed as the last village of Nepal. From here, you will drive past rocky terrains. As you drive further, you will notice how diverse this region is in terms of their culture, traditions, and customs. At Tilicho Lake Base Camp, you can relish sublime views of the Annapurna range and other snow-capped mountains. Overnight in Tilicho Lake Base Camp.
Day 6
Trekking to Tilicho Lake (4920m) (10.6km)
Early in the morning, you will trek to Tilicho Lake (4,920m). From the lake, you get a close-up view of Annapurna I (8,091m) and Nilgiri ranges as well. The view of frozen Tilicho Lake is simply breathtaking. When it is not frozen, the water is deep blue and clear with snow-capped mountains reflected on its surface. Enjoy the stunning view of Tilicho Peak (7,134m), Nilgiri (7,061m), Thorung Peak (6,144m), Gangapurna (7,454m) and Khangsar Kang (7,485m). Next, you will return to the Khangsar village. Overnight in Khangsar Village.
Day 7
Khangsar to Timang (2750m)
Leaving the beautiful Tilicho Lake behind, you will ride towards Timang village. In the early hours, you will cross the settlement of Manang and Pisang. Upon reaching Pisang, you will descend to reach Chame. After a quick lunch at Chame, you will ride towards Timang riding with a view of Mt. Manaslu (8,163m) in the skyline.
Day 8
Timang to Besisahar (760m)
From Timang, you will ride through the forested area of pine and rhododendron. Heading east, you arrive at Dharapani and begin to ride southwards. Alongside the bank of Marsayangdi River, you will ride past several small villages as the mountains are eclipsed by the lush hills. After a thrilling ride through a challenging road, you will reach Besisahar. Overnight in Besisahar.
Day 9
Besisahar to Kathmandu (1300m)
The ride from Besisahar to Kathmandu is quite pleasant. You are simply retracing your tracks. The ride will take you through green hills and valleys crossing small town of Dumre and Mugling. You will stop at Naubise for a quick lunch. You will reach the capital, Kathmandu, before evening. Overnight in Kathmandu.
Day 10
Free Day in Kathmandu
Today, you will go for some sightseeing around the Kathmandu valley. A local guide will be assigned who will take you to some of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites; Pashupatinath, Swayambhunath, Kathmandu Durbar Square, and Boudhanath. These places have great historical, cultural and religious significance in Nepal. In the evening, you can roam around the Thamel area, buy souvenirs and even enjoy the nightlife there.
Day 11
The eleventh day of the trip is the day of your departure. You will leave for the airport at the appropriate time for your flight. We bid you farewell from the land of rocky roads and amazing Himalayans.
