Champadevi (about 2200 m) is a pure nature walk, located in the south-west of Kirtipur, an ancient city of Kathmandu. Hike this day tour without any disturbance of vehicles and pollution. Champadevi Hiking Overview

Champadevi Hiking is a one day trekking in Nepal and begins early in the morning with a 50-minute drive from Thamel to Pharping. Crossing Taudaha, you will drive past various settlements of the Newar community and reach Pharping village. Here, you can visit famous Ashura Cave and Neydo Tashi Choeling Monastery. Once at Pharping, the hike begins. You will walk through lush forests filled with a plethora of wildlife. The trail goes gradually uphill for around an hour. You will further ascend crossing some stony paths.
After a continuous walk of two hours, you will reach the summit of Champadevi. Champadevi is also a religious hub for the Hindu and Buddhist followers. You can visit the temple of Champadevi and a Buddhist monastery at the top. In the Champadevi hiking trail, you can feel the harmony between the two religions and the local communities is exemplary.
From the viewpoints around the Champadevi Hill, on a clear day, you can get to rejoice the views of looming Himalayas in the Langtang, Gaurishankar, and Ganesh Himal ranges. Also from here on steep uphill into forested areas to reach Champa Devi and the holy temple of Hindu Goddess, enjoy the tremendous panorama of Kathmandu valley with high snow-capped peaks in the north. You will now return to Pharping village from where you will take a drive back to Kathmandu.
